Thame Sustainability Awards

Unfortunately, we could not achieve Thame Sustainability Champion Event Award before the ThamePride 2026 Festival. However, we have been making strides in being more sustainable and hope to be one of the first events to achieve this award.

As part of our launch of ThamePride Network, we aim to get the Thame Sustainability Champion Community Group Award which encompasses our bi-monthly Friday Socials, additional meet-ups, and our WhatsApp community.

Our reuse approach

As part of our mission to be sustainable, we have implemented tactics to promote reusability. This includes but is not limited to our serving of reusable plastic cups at our bars, creating non-festival specific signage and merchandise, and aiming to collaborate with the other local prides to have communal festival materials therefore, reducing overall supplies.

Having a quiet space

As of ThamePride 2026, we have introduced a quiet space for neurodivergent individuals which can be located on our Event Map. We hope this provides a room away from the sometimes overwhelming atmosphere of the main event providing respite. 

Additionally, we have neurodivergent-aware volunteers and core team members able to help on the day.

Sunflower lanyards

As an organisation, we recognise the Hidden Disability Sunflower scheme and wish to make more of an effort to raise awareness within our community.

We also have made an effort to be as step-free as possible to help individuals with physical disabilities, this includes having Blue Badge Parking on site (see Event Map to see where it is placed this year).
