A Temporary Road Closure and Traffic Regulation Order will be in force from 6:00am until midnight on Saturday 20th June 2026. The Thame Pride event will run from midday until 10pm. In addition, the Lower High Street car park will be closed from 6pm on Friday 19th June.
This will restrict the entry of vehicles into Thame High Street, Cornmarket, and Buttermarket. The road will be fully closed so we would be grateful if you could arrange for any vehicles to be removed during this time. Access will be maintained for emergency services at all times. Any vehicles causing an obstruction will be removed.
Access will only be permitted to the following:
Residents who have unrestricted off-road parking within the grounds of their property.
Businesses that have off-street parking and can confirm that all vehicles will be on private property at all times.

Barriers will be in position at the following locations:
High Street at the junction with Bell Lane
Cornmarket at the junction with Upper High Street and North Street
Buttermarket at the junction with North Street
Other traffic management arrangements for this period will be as follows:
Delivery vehicles will be allowed into the High Street from Bell Lane for a limited time to either deliver or collect goods. Town Centre deliveries must adhere to Road Closure conditions.
Sorting office vehicles and Candelo Lounge employee vehicles will continue to have access via High Street to Bell Lane.
Disabled parking will be available for the duration of the Road Closure on the Lower High Street in the marked bays outside 92 to 95 High Street (in front of The Book House, Reaston Brown, and Shaw Trust).
The Taxi Rank will be located on the High Street outside of 17 and 18 High Street (next to Domino's Pizza)
The Lower High Street Car Park will be closed from 6:00pm on Friday 19th June until midnight Saturday 20th June 2026.
