Thame is located 14 miles east of Oxford and 10 miles south-west of Aylesbury (connected to both by the A418). It is well connected to Birmingham and London by the M40 motorway (Junctions 7 or 8a) and has excellent road links to Chinnor (B4445), Princes Risborough (A4129) and Bicester (B4011). Thame is easily accessible from the M40 motorway at Junctions 6, 7 and 8a. The A418 links Thame to Oxford and Aylesbury.

Haddenham and Thame Parkway is only 2 miles from Thame and is on the Chiltern Railways Line. The station is on a direct line to London Marylebone (from 40 minutes) as well as to Oxford and Birmingham. The X20 & 121 buses provide regular links from the station to Thame town centre.
A number of reputable taxi services operate from the town centre. The taxi rank on the day is located on the High Street outside of 17 and 18 High Street (next to Domino's Pizza)
