My role as a celebrant is to offer a very personal non-religious ceremony for those looking to share their special event with family and friends to mark life’s significant milestones. As a trained civil celebrant I will give you the choice to lead your own ceremony, involve your favourite people and make it unique to you.

I offer a tailor made service for weddings, funerals, vow renewal and naming ceremonies. I will happily include any religious or spiritual elements that best suit you. You get to choose as many poems, music, songs, and speeches as you would like, both traditional and modern, and I work alongside you to ensure your ceremony is as personal and special as you would like it to be. My role is to offer a unique ceremony that reflects your beliefs, values and personality of the individuals involved.

Oxford Bus Company

We at Oxford Bus Company are incredibly proud to be a part of the local community. We’re dedicated to connecting people across Oxfordshire and beyond, and our 400 service is a vital link to Oxford for many residents in Thame. Make sure to come and see our vibrant Pride Bus stationed in the Pride village, a symbol of our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and supporting the LGBTQ+ community. We believe in fostering a strong, connected community, and we’re thrilled to be celebrating Pride with you all!

LGBT Humanists and Oxford Humanists will have a joint stall at the first ever Thame Pride, and we’d love to see you there, so please drop by!

Local Prides allow us to celebrate the contribution that humanists have made throughout history to LGBT rights, freedom of expression, and towards building a fairer, more rational society. LGBT Humanists is a volunteer section of Humanists UK, dedicated to support and campaigning for LGBT rights and freedoms.

Oxford Humanists is a Local Group of Humanists UK, which aims to brings non-religious people together to be happier and more fulfilled and be a source of fellowship and community in Oxfordshire.

Humanists are people who shape their own lives in the here and now, because we believe it’s the only life we have. We make sense of the world through logic, reason, and evidence, and always seek to treat those around us with warmth, understanding, and respect.

Most people have heard of Humanists UK through the provision of non-religious Humanist Ceremonies for Weddings, Naming and Funerals. We are very fortunate to have a local Weddings celebrant attending Thame Pride, Zoe Grayston, who will be at the stall between 11:00 – 2:00pm, and will be happy to explain further about Humanist weddings, including (of course) for same-sex couples.
