The series, written by Russell T Davies, first aired in 2021. With drama and great humour it revealed the stories behind the AIDS pandemic of the 1980s in Britain.

Set in 1984 during the miners’ strike, Pride tells the true story of how a group of lesbian and gay activists find unlikely allies in a collective of Welsh miners taking industrial action following pit closures.
