GETTING TO THAMEPRIDE FESTIVAL
Most of the venues are within a few minutes walk of each other.
TRAIN
The nearest station is Haddenham & Thame Parkway, which is about two miles from Thame. It has trains connecting to Birmingham, London Marylebone and Oxford. Buses and taxis to Thame are available from the station forecourt. For full details see Chiltern Railways.
Please note that it may be cheaper to take the train to Oxford and then catch the 400 to Thame.
If travelling from Oxford to Haddenham & Thame Parkway, train tickets can usually be made significantly cheaper by travelling via Oxford and/or splitting train tickets at Oxford. Ticket prices can be found through National Rail.
BUS
The bus stops at Thame Town Hall will be unavailable during the event due to the road closure. The closest stops to the event will be Thame Museum when travelling in the direction of Oxford to Aylesbury and The Thatch when travelling in the direction of Aylesbury to Oxford.
The 400 runs from Oxford to Thame, starting at Oxford railway station and is operated by the Oxford Bus Company. They have produced a handy tool for planning your journey to the event, which can be found here. Please note that the N400 and 400 do not necessarily stop at the same bus stops.
The X20 runs from Aylesbury to Oxford, via Haddenham & Thame Parkway and is operated by Redline Travel. Please note that this bus has a drop-off stop close to Oxford railway station, but it does not go directly to Oxford railway station and does not pick-up passengers towards Thame and Aylesbury from the drop-off stop. To catch this bus towards Thame from Oxford railway station, you will need to walk to the Westgate shopping centre, the first pick-up stop on Norfolk Street, stop M5.
The 121 connects Thame to Haddenham & Thame Parkway and is operated by Red Rose Travel.
Please check the operators’ websites for timetables. Thame Town Council provides a list of timetables, but please make sure these are the latest when making travel plans.
